Best Western Plus (hotel) in Amarillo, TX: excellent planning between elevator installer and whoever wanted the extra cladding or whatever it's called...

Obligatory "not a meme", but holy hell is that shoddy workmanship. Even apart from the obvious issue with the buttons, there are sharp angles, exposed screws, and unprotected corners where the laminate is peeling off... at this point they'd be better off removing the cladding and just repainting the wall.

That would drive me crazy if i had to see it every day. Ugly, lazy, hazardous and a sign of a complete “I don’t give a shit” attitude

On the ground floor, they put this "communications failure" panel outside the cladding but still connected the button... *Facepalm*
