How do you get purple flames?

Either really badly set white balance (no other colors in frame to reference), overdriven low quality sensor, or good old gimpshop. I mean I'm sure there's something that burns purple. The internets says potassium salt compounds can make purple flames

Good old gimpshop probably. Blue/purple flames tend to be difficult to see and often invisible in normal light, and don't produce thick black smoke.
